1. About this page
These terms apply to your use of navigatesend.com (the "website"), operated by Navigate SEND Ltd (company number 17100350) ("Navigate SEND", "we", "us"). By using the website, you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
2. What this website is — and isn't
Navigate SEND provides information, guidance, checklists, a non-diagnostic screener, and a route to enquire about our paid professional services, delivered online nationally across England, with in-person support available where agreed. Nothing on this website constitutes:
- Legal advice, or a substitute for advice from a solicitor or legal advocate;
- A clinical diagnosis, or a substitute for a formal psychological, medical or educational assessment;
- A statutory decision, or a guarantee of any particular outcome from an EHC needs assessment, annual review, appeal or other statutory process.
The SEND Access Screener and SEND Checklists are structured self-help tools intended to help you organise your thinking and prepare for a conversation with us or another professional — they are not assessments in their own right, as stated on those pages.
3. No professional relationship from using the website alone
Submitting an enquiry form, completing the screener, or downloading a checklist does not, by itself, create a client relationship, a contract for services, or a duty of care. A formal engagement with Navigate SEND begins only once we've agreed the scope of work, likely outputs, timelines and fees with you directly — as described in our enquiry process.
4. Professional regulation
Matthew Bell is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Psychologist, registration number PYL044045. You can verify this at hcpc-uk.org/check-the-register. Work carried out under a formal engagement with Navigate SEND is subject to the HCPC's standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
5. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the text, checklists, screener content, graphics and other material on this website belong to Navigate SEND or are used with permission. You're welcome to use our checklists for your own personal or professional preparation, but please don't republish, resell, or present our content as your own without asking us first.
6. Links to other websites
Where we link to external websites (for example, GOV.UK or other guidance referenced in our blog), we do so because we think they're useful — we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or availability.
7. Limitation of liability
The information, checklists and screener on this website are provided for general guidance only, and we don't accept liability for decisions made solely on the basis of using them without a full consultation. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't legally be excluded under English law.
8. Complaints
If you're unhappy with a service you've received from Navigate SEND, please contact us directly at admin@navigatesend.com in the first instance. If we're unable to resolve your concern directly, you can raise it with the HCPC at hcpc-uk.org/concerns/raising-concerns/public/.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
