Welcome to Navigate SEND

Matt Bell (NS)

I’m Matt Bell, an HCPC-registered Occupational Psychologist, qualified teacher, SENCo-trained education specialist, qualified headteacher and former Regional Lead for SEND.

Over the years, I have worked with 1000s of families and professionals who have struggled to get the best outcomes for children and young people. I created NavigateSEND to help make sense of complex Educational, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), missing provision, school breakdown, Education Other Than At School (EOTAS), psychological evidence and preparation-for-adulthood pathways without a clear map of what to do next.

My work sits at the point where education, psychology, statutory SEND processes and practical provision meet. Over the years, I have supported complex cases involving EHCP assessment, annual review, provision planning, dispute resolution, DSA, Access to Work and multi-agency support.

NavigateSEND is designed to help you understand the problem clearly, organise the evidence and identify the right next step. We do not promise outcomes, and we do not replace legal, clinical or safeguarding advice where that is needed. What we do offer is careful, structured, psychologically informed SEND support for families, schools, case managers and professional referrers.

If you are unsure where to start, you can tell us what is happening and we will help you identify the most appropriate route.

Find the right place to start

Every family arrives with a different question. Some people need urgent help with an EHCP. Some need to understand whether a psychological assessment is needed. Others want guidance, checklists, fees, or time to read before making contact.brain-magnifying-glass-transparent
